Faf du Plessis Early life and Education

Francois du Plessis was born on 13 July 1984 in Pretoria, South Africa. He is one of the many titans of the National South African Cricket Team along with many other fellow cricketers and school friends such as Heino Kuhn, AB de Villiers, and Jacques Rudolph. Francois du Plessis is also a graduate of the University of Pretoria.

He is famous for his nickname Faf, his fans and almost everyone loves to call him Faf. Faf is the 2nd cousin of Namibian rugby player Marcel du Plessis. On 23 rd November 2013, Faf got married to a long-term girlfriend Imari Visser. Faf represents as a senior cricketer for South Africa. He becomes the solid middle-order batsman in the South African cricket team’s batting lineup. Faf is also participating for some other domestic clubs such as Titans and as well a few international Clubs like Chennai Super Kings.

Francois du Plessis Domestic Career

Faf started his domestic career with a contract of six months for Lancashire. In his domestic debut match, he scored 55 runs. He got another contract from Lancashire for 3 years. Faf signed a new contract in 2010 with Chennai Super king at (IPL) Indian Premier League. He performed very well in IPL season 2012, in this season Faf secured 398 runs.

Francois du Plessis Early Career

Francois du Plessis was considered to be one of the four inexperienced cricketers to be listed in South Africa’s preliminary squad for the ICC World Cup 2011. After an impressive half-century on their One Day International debut against India in the same year, Faf was selected into 15 man squad. In begging Faf could not perform very well, he played many matches but didn’t perform a good game, he couldn’t show his talent, he just can manage to surpass the fifty (half Century) at once. But he did not stop trying, his never-ending effort for being on a list of one of the best and most popular in the cricket world never let him down. Faf made unbeaten 60 runs in ODIs International against India in his debut match. Faf du Plessis made his Test debut against Australia. Faf luckily got the chance in replacement of injured JP Duminy, in his debut match, Faf proved very strong as he played very solid innings that helped out South Africa to win the match. Faf got the man of the match award also in this match. He is an outstanding player as his brilliant performances for his country led his team higher in rank in the ICC international One Day International Ranking. Faf was selected as a captain for the T20 squad for the team of South Africa. Due to his consistent performances, he made a permanent place in the South Africa team. His great and brilliant performances made him a successful player in the cricket world. Faf’s maiden hundred was against Australia in the year of 2014.

Faf was brought up in very severe conditions because Faf’s mother and father both separated, at that time when they separated Faf was just only three years old. He stated about his childhood that, he is sometimes likely to be living with his mother, and in rare conditions, he lives with his father. Faf went to African High School for boys, which is also known as Affies, it is in Pretoria. Faf graduated from this university.
